About the Café Manager role:
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join Spicerhaart as the Café Manager. 

This role is central to the smooth running of our on-site café and the provision of refreshments for our daily Academy training suite.

A strong focus on customer service and the ability to manage daily operational tasks is essential.

  • Basic Salary of £20,000 per annum

    (Monday to Friday 08.00 – 14.00)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and set up the café each morning, ensuring all areas are clean, stocked, and ready for service.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while serving customers hot drinks and pre-packaged food options.
  • Serve sandwiches and snacks during the lunchtime period and keep the café area clean and inviting throughout the day.
  • Restock and maintain supplies in the Academy training room break area, including tea, coffee, biscuits, and other refreshments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to order and replenish café stock, including pre-packed sandwiches and ambient snacks.
  • Place and manage daily orders for sandwich platters to accommodate on-site Academy training groups.
  • Deliver platters, along with plates, napkins, and crisps, to the Academy training room break area and/or Board room for meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
  • Operating a card-only café environment; no cash handling is required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional, welcoming attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic food handling and hygiene knowledge.
  • Comfortable using ordering systems and communicating with suppliers.
  • Physically able to carry supplies between café and training areas.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or food service role.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices.

To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:
