Your day to day duties
As a Trainee Mortgage and Protection Adviser, you are the future of our success. We will invest in you from day one, ensuring you are fully prepared to do one of the most rewarding and in-demand roles in the industry.
Each of our Mortgage and Protection Advisers hold an essential role in being the 'face' of Just Mortgages within a successful Estate Agency branch (haart, Felicity J Lord, Chewton Rose, Butters John Bee, Darlows or Haybrook). You’ll enjoy a role delivering high quality mortgage and protection services to your clients, whether they are looking for residential, buy-to-let, new homes or re-mortgaging advice.
To ensure our customer service continues to exceed industry standards, you will play a significant part in your client’s home-buying journey by being there at every step of the way until they receive the keys to their brand new home. You will focus on gaining the trust and business of prospective clients, from identifying your their needs, offering advice and products to best suit their requirements. Your role is to ensure your client fully understands the products and services available to them, and that they receive correct and compliant financial advice.
On a daily basis, your working day will include preparation for future appointments, gathering information from colleagues and generating referrals. You will enjoy the challenge of attracting new customers and business whilst being motivated by setting yourself professional goals within a result-driven environment.
In addition, your passion for this industry will be evident in your commercial awareness, where you will be seen as the ‘hub of knowledge’ – an expert in your client’s needs. We are, after all, in the business of property financial advice and ultimately in helping your clients to achieve their property dreams.
What you can expect from us
Important: You will be required to take part in a 5 week course at our central training centre in Bedford. Please be aware that you will be required to stay overnight from Monday-Friday for the duration of the 5 week course. All accommodation and evening meals will be provided. This will not affect your salary.
Your 5 week training programme will be necessary to complete the industry-recognised CeMap Qualification in order to legally advise clients on their Mortgages and Protection options. Training will continue after the 5 week residential course to ensure you are confident, competent and compliant. You will have the option to confide with one of the regional trainers on a regular basis, as well as having 121 training with your line manager.
Salary and Compensation
You will receive a basic salary of £18,000, during the 5 week course, all of your course materials and training will also be paid for. Once the training course has been completed, you will be issued with a new package which includes on top of your £18,000 basic salary an additional £250 per month for a company car allowance. Within your first year with Just Mortgages, you can expect an OTE of £30,000. Your probationary period will last 9 months, once this is complete you will be promoted in line with our company career path, with an increase in your basic salary and a choice to have an unbranded company BMW or continue with your company car allowance.
What you will need
This role is ideal if you have already achieved experience working within a targeted sales environment, estate agency or banking industry.
